Why did you choose to be in funeral service? I never had a doubt in my mind that I would become a funeral director. I was 9 years old, and attending my grandfather’s funeral when I truly experienced the positive, respectful, and calming effect of the funeral ritual. It is at this time that I turned to my mom and told her that this is my calling in life. What is the most rewarding aspect of working in funeral service? It is the time, just before the family members turn to leave the cemetery, when I am the beneficiary of the warmest and most genuine handshakes from the people I have just served. This is the highest compliment and one I never tire of receiving. What do you want your epitaph to read? I knew it would come to this | |
