Walter C. Selden

December 21, 1924 - December 31, 2009

Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Grace; sons, Walter Jr. (Sue), Craig (Carolyn) & David (Marnie); 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; & daughter-in-law, Gloria Stenerud. Preceded in death by son, Jon Selden.

Born in St. Paul, MN on December 21, 1924, he was the son of Guy & Bertha Selden. Walter graduated from Marshall High School and served in the Army during World War II. He worked as a semi-truck driver for Taystee Bakery for 40 years, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he held numerous leadership positions in local congregations.

Funeral Information

Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, January 9, 2009 at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 11900 Manning Avenue South in Hastings with a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the Service at the church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 10 AM (Assembly #2).
